About Route 66 Main Street
Tulsa Route 66 Main Street is a 501(c)3 nonprofit with a goal to restore Tulsa’s southwest corridor of Route 66 as the cultural, educational, and economic backbone of our community. We celebrate our district’s rich history and proudly promote the historic and cultural preservation of Southwest Tulsa and Route 66. As we approach the centennial of Route 66, we celebrate the legacy of opportunity that the “Mother Road” has to offer and look to a diverse and inclusive future of economic and cultural prosperity.
Tulsa Route 66 Main Street is proud to be a part of Oklahoma Main Street, the State Coordinating Program of Main Street America. This program is made possible by local support within the Four Points of Main Street America: Economic Vitality, Design, Organization and Promotion. These engaged committees work to create community and transformation through education, placemaking, celebrations, and business development.
Tulsa Route 66 Main Street is proud to be a Destination District in partnership with the Tulsa Planning Office and a member of the Tulsa Route 66 Commission along with the Oklahoma Route 66 Commission..
